UTAS Sohar announces Hackathon ‘Oman Beauty Has An Address’ in tourism sector

Sohar: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sohar announced today, in cooperation with the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, a hackathon “Oman Beauty has an address” in the tourism sector, with the aim of enriching digital content on the Internet through three areas in the production of digital content.

Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al-Muqbali, Assistant Dean of Sohar University of Technology and Applied Sciences for Supporting Academic Affairs and supervisor of the Hackathon, stated that participation is open until the end of next November, targeting the youth category in the Sultanate of Oman, including students and job seekers, and the results of the Hackathon will be announced at the beginning of December.

Al-Muqbali also indicated that the types of challenges available in the hackathon include refereed electronic articles, website design for tourism promotion in the Sultanate of Oman, and visual material for websites.

The results of this event can be summed up in coming up with websites \ blogs \ and electronic articles that are linguistically controlled and indexed by the method of scientific research.
