UTAS Sohar celebrates the graduation of 177 students

Sohar: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Sohar celebrated this evening the graduation of 177 male and female students from the College of Computer and Information Sciences and the College of Engineering and Technology who hold bachelor’s degrees and diplomas.

The graduation ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Saeed bin Hamad Al-Rubaie, President of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences.

Dr. Awad bin Ali Al-Maamari, Dean of the University, stressed the role played by the Sohar branch in providing high-quality study programs in response to the needs of the labor market in a manner that serves national development plans and contributes to achieving sustainable development in the sectors of information technology, computer networks and engineering, in line with the vision of Oman 2040 is in the focus of the education, logistics and information and communication technology sectors.

While graduate Ikram bint Humaid Al-Mahthuri from the College of Engineering and Technology delivered a graduate speech, through which she expressed the joy of all graduates on this day. At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the Governor of North Al Batinah honored the top graduates, as well as handing out certificates to male and female graduates from various disciplines.
