Because culture is an important thing in the civilization of peoples, and this event, with the presence of great artists from different countries of the Arab world and representatives from some countries of the world, is a link with Omani artists and those wishing to enter this art, whether it is cinema or acting.

His Excellency added that the Musandam Winter Season includes many and varied programmes, the most important of which is hosting this film festival, especially in the cultural matter. Because it is a great asset with the presence of the Qamamat who give lectures, present workshops and seminars, and present their artistic experience, in addition to showing a number of short films that add to the credit of young people entering this art.

The program included a specialized workshop in cinematography presented by the distinguished artist Duraid Lahham, and a workshop on the basic principles of script writing presented by the writer, Professor Tariq Zamzam, at the Khasab Sports Complex, in addition to showing feature films at the headquarters of the Omani Women’s Association in Khasab, with the participation of a number of Arab countries.
