Muscat: Snow fell in Jabal Shams this evening in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate which will continue till early morning, an official from Oman Meteorology said.
The Oman Meteorology said that Jabal Shams in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate recorded a temperature of -1 degrees Celsius and high humidity, which led to freezing rain falling this evening, locally known as slate. Jabal Shams was covered with snow in a very wonderful view.
The official from Oman Meteorology also confirmed that Jabal Shams will record a temperature ranging between -5 to -2 degrees Celsius tomorrow, with the possibility of snow, especially in the early hours of the morning and evening.

The Oman meteorologist said in a statement online: “The aerial picture shows the continued condensation and flow of clouds over parts of the northern governorates, with sporadic rain that may continue during the evening.”
