Wadi Al Maawil records highest temperature of 44.5° C

Muscat: Wadi Al Maawil station recorded the highest temperature in the Sultanate of Oman on Sunday, May 19, 2024, which crossed 44 degrees Celsius.

According to Oman Meteorology, Wadi Al Maawil station in Al Batinah South Governorate recorded 44.5 degrees as the highest temperature among all the weather stations during the last 24 hours, followed by Fahud station in Ad Dhahirah Governorate with 43.2 degrees Celsius and then Al Mudhaibi Station in Ash Sharqiyah Governorate with 43.1 degrees Celsius. 42.9 degrees Celsius was recorded in Um Al Zamaim and 42.7 degrees Celsius in Shinas station in Northern Batinah Governorate, Haima with 42.5 degrees Celsius, Yalooni with 42.4 degrees Celsius and Al Kamil Was Al Wafi with 42.2 degrees Celsius

 The lowest temperature recorded in the Sultanate of Oman during the last 24 hours was 17.0 degrees Celsius in Saiq followed by Sunaynah 19.3 degrees Celsius, Yanqul with 20.6 degrees Celsius, Mhadha with 21.5 degrees Celsius, Hamra ad Duru with 22.4 degrees Celsius, Thank with 22.5 degrees Celsius, Dhalkut with 23.0 degrees Celsius and Ibri with 23.2 degrees Celsius
