Waiving Omani citizens from the Schengen Visa, discussed in the meeting

Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs received here today Dimitri Giotakos, Head of the Visa Policy Unit in the Directorate General of Migration and Home Affairs at the European Commission and his accompanying delegation.

The two sides reviewed relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the European Union (EU) and explored ways of strengthening them.

During the meeting, the delegation underscored the significance the European Commission attaches to the topic of waiving Omani citizens from the Schengen visa.

The meeting was attended by Khalid Sulaiman BaOmar, Head of the European Union Department at the Foreign Ministry and several officials from authorities concerned in Oman.
