Weather: Mwasalat suspends intercity bus services


Muscat: Oman’s Mwasalat on Wednesday announced the suspension of intercity bus services for Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, Sur and Sharjah due to weather condition on Thursday.

In a statement Mwasalat said: “Based on the alerts issued by the competent authorities regarding weather conditions, “Mwasalat” would like to inform all users of its services that for Thursday, May 2, 2024, the following has been decided:

Suspension of intercity bus service for the following routes until further notice:

– Route 36 Muscat – Jaalan Bani Bu Ali

– Route 55 (Muscat – Sur)

– Route 203 Muscat – Sharjah)

This comes out of Mwasalat’s keenness to preserve the safety of travelers as this service is affected by climatic conditions. Mwasalat confirms that it is following up on developments with the relevant authorities, and valued users will be notified of any update in flight times or the date of resuming flights again on the company’s social media platforms.
