The Civil Aviation Authority issues latest Weather Report 1 during 19-23 March 2023.
In a statement CAA said: The latest weather updates and analysis of the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Center indicate that an upper air trough is likely to affect the Sultanate of Oman starting from Sunday 19th of March 2023 until Thursday 23rd of March 2023.
Clouds advection and isolated rain, occasional thundershowers, are expected over the Governorate of Dhofar and Al West starting from Sunday evening. The impact will extend, from Monday evening, to over the rest of the governorates.
Expected Impacts:
Isolated rainfall, occasionally thundershowers, may cause ladies flow.
Fresh associated winds with speed of 15 to 25 kt (28-45km/h)
Sea state will be moderate to rough along most of the coasts with maximum wave height ranging between 2 -3 meters.
Civil Aviation Authority advices all to take precaution during rainfall and wadies flow and to check visibility and sea state before sailing and follow the issues Weather bulletins & reports.
