Winners of Arab Music Academy awards honored in Muscat

Muscat: A ceremony was held today to honor the winners of the awards of the Arab Music Academy of the League of Arab States, as part of the activities of the General Conference of the Academy in its 27th session, which is hosted by the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Madinat Al Irfan.

The ceremony was sponsored by His Highness Sayyid Kamel bin Fahd Al Said, Secretary General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, in the presence of members and representatives of Arab countries at the Arab Music Academy and a number of those concerned with music affairs.

In the speech of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, Rashid bin Musallam al-Hashimi, representative of the Sultanate of Oman in the Arab Music Academy, said that cultural and artistic cooperation with international bodies and organizations such as the Arab Music Society enhances the pursuit of consolidating and affirming the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a cultural destination and an attractive environment for the cultural, intellectual, research and production industries in the field of culture. in general and in the field of musical arts in particular.

He added that the ministry is taking steps towards achieving the aspirations of Omani artists and artistic workers, heading towards the future and spreading Omani music and folklore and its makers, locally and regionally, with steady, balanced steps and specific goals by creating a climate that stimulates creativity and involving institutions concerned with the artistic field.
