Muscat: Acting in cooperation with the German organizers of “Falling Walls Foundation”, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation today held a ceremony to mark the conclusion of the 9th national edition of the contest.
The ceremony was held at the Innovation Complex in Muscat Governorate under the auspices of Dr. Saif Abdullah Al Haddabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation for Scientific Research and Innovation.
First place in the competition went to Tasneem Mohammed Al Dawoodi, who shared the trophy with Duha Jamal Al Barwani. Their project focused on methods to cut down the use of heavy oil use through green energy applications.
Al Waleed Yousef Al Muharbi merited second place for his project about the (observed) depositing of wax in pipelines. Third place was won by Samia Nasser Al Riyami for her project on improvising a sustainable water filter. – ONA
