Winners of the 2023 Arts Award announced in Oman

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth announces the names of winners of the 2023 Arts Award

Muscat: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth organizes the closing ceremony of the (2023 Arts Award) at the Oman Across Ages Museum, during which the winners of this competition were announced under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Nader bin Al-Julandi Al Said.

The competition award included three categories: the Advertising Film Award, the Digital Arts Award (Animation), and the Soundtrack Award. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ajmi won second place in the Propaganda Film Award competition for the film (Land of Peace), and Shahad bint Ahmed Al-Khanbashiyah won third place for her film (Enthusiasm as Long as the Sight) won, while first place was withheld in this field.

Hanan bint Muhammad Al-Maamriya won first place in the Digital Arts Award Competition (Animation) for her work entitled (Mandoos Hababuh).

The Osama, Leah and Lama, came in second place for their work entitled The Promotional Advertisement (Salalah), while Adnan bin Saeed Al-Hashemi won the position.

The third is in the Redbird fir/ad. In the field of music, Saud Majeed Ihab achieved first place, Tariq bin Jalal Al-Raisi came second, and Hussein bin Omar Al-Husseini came in third place.

Ibrahim bin Saif Bani Araba, Assistant Director General of Arts, said that the Ministry was keen to provide opportunities for creators in the cultural and artistic fields to highlight their creativity, and developed programs that contribute to enhancing the creativity of young people.

He added that the competition passed through several stages, namely registration and sorting, then the evaluation stage and announcement of the results, noting that the number of participants in the competition reached 89 participants. In the field of music, there were 22 participants with 15 works, of which three works qualified, and in the field of advertising films, the number of those registered was 35. 12 works actually participated, of which three qualified, and 32 participants participated in the promotional advertisement field, of which three qualified.

The ceremony included the announcement of the competition results, a visual presentation, and a tribute. It is worth noting that this award is one of the artistic awards adopted by the Ministry and is keen to develop and disseminate it to those interested, and to benefit from its fields designated for artists, talents and creators in the artistic fields. Its awards ceremony is held annually in the month of November of each year in one of the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.

The award aims to motivate participants to advance their talents to a professional level, present creative works that contribute to the development of art, nurture talented and creative people, invest in cultural diversity and make culture a means of promoting and introducing the Sultanate of Oman, enhancing production and employing technology and technology to document cultural identity, produce and disseminate Omani cultural content, and enhance Cultural mobility and community participation in cultural events in various governorates, in addition to discovering, developing and encouraging talent in the cultural fields.
