Saham: The activities of the winter camp for Girl Guides in the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah and Musandam were launched today at the permanent Scout camp in the Wilayat of Saham, under the slogan “Learning by doing asserts oneself and develops skills” and will continue until the 26th January.
Dr. Fatima bint Saqr al-Muslimiya, general leader of the camp, explained that the number of female guides in the camp exceeded 150 female guides from the various extension units in the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah and Musandam, investigating over a period of five days the main determinants of the camp that express the promotion of citizenship values and personal development skills. , physical and athletic development skills, extension skills, scientific skills and innovation.
Al-Muslimiya also indicated that the diversity in the activities enriches the outcome of the Girl Guides’ participation through more than 45 activities, which include competitions and activities between the sub-camps, and the presentation of a number of lectures and training workshops, in addition to the Hobby Badges Forum, which includes 7 badges represented in: Friends of the environment, friends of traffic, craft industries, creativity, public service, civil defense, and sports for all, in addition to other accompanying activities such as evenings, exhibitions, talents, folk arts, and exploration tours.
