Work starts on Diba-Lima-Khasab road project in Musandam Governorate

Khasab: The Dibba-Lima-Khasab road project is one of the important strategic projects that the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has assigned, supervised and begun implementing.

Eng. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Mujaini, Assistant Director-General for Projects and Maintenance at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, explained that the total length of the road is 70 km, and the project consists of several parts, the first part is 19 km long from the Wilayat of Khasab to the Lima District, and the second part is 8 km long to raise the efficiency of the road.

The governorate of Lima, while the third part consists of 43 kilometers from the governorate of Lima to the state of Dibba. He added in a statement to the Oman News Agency that the project consists of 300 box ferries and 11 bridges, and the area of ​​each lane of the road is 14 meters with a width of about 3.6 meters, in addition to expandable side shoulders.

He pointed out that the time period for implementing the project is about 42 months, in addition to 90 days for preparations, with a total duration of 45 months.

He stated that the goal of the project is to create a road that is passable in all weather conditions, in addition to increasing the economic and tourism benefits in Musandam Governorate.
