Yanqul: Nama Water Services announced the start of a project to construct a water network in Al-Ulou area in the Wilayat of Yanqul, A’Dhahirah Governorate. The project cost RO 2.5 million.
Speaking at a press briefing held at the office of Wali of Yanqul, Eng. Badr Salim Al Rab’aani, Project Manager at Nama Water, said the project is set to be carried out in 18 months, from July 2023 to December 2024.
Al Rab’aani pointed out that the project includes the construction of a 75 km water distribution network, with 700 connections. The project is designed to cope with urban expansion, cater to 4,200 beneficiaries, now, and serve as many as 10,000 beneficiaries in future.
The project includes the installation of firefighting nozzles, isolation valves, air valves and pressure control points, as well as culverts for the flow of water in wadis (valleys) and under roads. – ONA
