Muscat: Muscat Municipality issues guidelines and working hours during Eid al-Adha 2021

Following the updates issued by the Supreme Committee in response to Covid-19, and to prevent congestion & gatherings in municipal slaughterhouses. Muscat Municipality adopts an online system for individuals to pre-reserve their sacrifices, starting from Wednesday 14th to Sunday 18th July 2021.

Slaughtering of pre-reserved private livestock, or for butcher shops and companies will be carried out in the evening period without the presence of individuals.

Individuals wishing to receive carcasses can go directly to the slaughterhouse stockyards to make a reservation from 7am to 12 pm or from 3 to 4.30 pm, and to receive the carcass the next morning, according to the below.

Local (Omani) goats and sheep of individuals are received and numbered in a limited number, from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18th of July 2021 in the evening period from 3 to 4.30 pm, while the carcasses are received the next morning from slaughterhouse refrigerators.

From Thursday 15 to Monday 19 July 2021 – From 7.30 am to 12 pm

From Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 July 2021 – Closed

Operation in Seeb and Amirat slaughterhouses will resume on Friday July 23 rd 2021 in the morning period for individuals only.

For companies & individuals, Seeb and Amirat slaughterhouses will resume on July 24th in the morning period .

For companies – from 6 – 8am

For Individuals – from 8 am to 12:45 pm .
