Muscat: Muscat Municipality announces working hours of Slaughterhouses in Eid al-Adha 

Here are the working hours of Municipal slaughterhouses during Eid al-Adha

1, From 9 Thu Al-Hijaa until the second day of Eid, a system for making pre-reservation of carecasses of individuals will come into effect, while carcasees can be delivered the morning of Eid from municipal refrigerators. 

Note: the carcass delivered the first day of Eid is not counted as a sacrifice; as it is slaughtered before the Eid prayer. 

2, Individuals wishing to get carcasses can head directly to the slaughterhouses stockyard to make their reservation, from 6 am to 6 pm.

3, Slaughtering of pre-reserved private livestock, and for shops and companies, will be carried out in the evening period, without the presence of individuals. 

4, Receipt of local (Omani) sheep and goats, and cows and camels of individuals will start on 10th of Thu al-Hijjah to the second day of Eid, and in the evening period from 7 to 9pm, to be picked up on the same day. (Note: livestock is brought in through the main gate).

5, Institutions, charities and meat companies wishing to slaughter in Muscat Municipality slaughterhouses must communicate in advance with the operating company until 9 Thu al-Hijjah, while applications made after this date are not accepted.
