    • Yemeni Cinema Nights at the Oman Film Society

    Muscat: The Omani Cinema Association organized Yemeni cinema nights as part of its periodic and monthly activities to exchange various experiences in this field from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

    Dr. Humaid bin Saeed Al Ameri said: The cinema nights are organized by the association’s Cinema Cultural Events Committee on a monthly basis, and their goal is to learn about cinematic experiences from different countries by showing a group of films by directors who have experience and expertise, in addition to a discussion session through which attendees learn about the directors’ cinematic experience.

    Al Ameri added that the nights include watching various cinematic works by multiple directors, aiming to spread cinematic culture in the Sultanate of Oman, and contributing to the formation of an audience with cinematic awareness.

    He explained that the Omani Cinema Association presented the experience of Dot Notion Artistic Production Company during the Yemeni Cinema Nights, through director Hashem Hamoud Hashem and director of photography Rakan Al-Ansi. Nine short works were presented, varying between narrative and documentary works, many of which won festival awards.
