Salalah: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth represented by the Youth Center and Vodafone Oman signed a three-year strategic partnership agreement with the aim of transferring and localizing modern technologies and knowledge to young people, training them in this field and developing their skills, in addition to supporting the summer program package in Dhofar Governorate.
The agreement was signed by Engineer Zaid bin Abdullah Al-Salmani, Executive Director of the Youth Center, on behalf of the Youth Center, and on behalf of Vodafone Oman, Eng. Badr bin Saud Al-Zaidi, CEO of the company, at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah.
The Executive Director of the Youth Center said: This strategic partnership in the field of communications with the Omani Company for Future Communications “Vodafone Oman” comes from its belief in the importance of youth and complementary work with various parties to achieve common goals and comprehensive services for all groups, and the agreement confirms that the company is continuing to serve youth and develop Their technical and technical capabilities to benefit from them to serve the national economy, and the center is keen to seek to select strategic partners aimed at absorbing youth and developing their potential and striving to advance their level to compete globally in the various fields that the Sultanate of Oman is working on according to the future vision of Oman 2040, which aims to make Oman among the ranks of developed countries with its various priorities national and international indicators.
For his part, Vodafone Oman CEO said: The company, with its advanced digital capabilities in the technology sector, is keen to contribute to the preparation and development of the future generation digitally. He added: “Our partnership with the Youth Center confirms one of our most important values in which we believe in the need to invest in the development of youth to be Oman’s future leaders. We are all responsible for empowering them with the tools and knowledge that help them achieve their goals and aspirations, which will undoubtedly contribute to the acceleration and progress of the national economy “.
It is worth noting that the Youth Center, which is under the umbrella of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, is an innovative and integrated youth space that supports the creative and pioneering thought of young people. And civil society organizations in various fields, in addition to strengthening and developing cooperation and communication with local, regional and international youth organizations.
