Hajj 2027 registration opens in Oman on September 28

Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs has announced the opening of electronic registration for citizens and residents of the Sultanate of Oman wishing to perform Hajj during the 1448 AH season.

Registration will be available through the official electronic system at www.hajj.om from Sept. 28 to Oct. 11, 2026.

The Ministry stressed that Hajj companies are prohibited from interfering in the registration process, ensuring transparency and allowing eligible applicants to freely select their preferred Hajj company.

Eligible applicants must select a Hajj company through the electronic system and accept the associated financial obligations. Applicants are also required to pay the specified percentage electronically through the system.

The Ministry stated that the electronic contract is binding on both the applicant and the Hajj company before the competent authorities. It also has the right to cancel an application if the required financial payment is not made within the specified deadlines.

The Ministry noted that applications submitted before the official registration period, after its closure or without the required attachments will not be considered.

The process of notifying eligible applicants and selecting Hajj companies will take place in three stages.

For the first group of eligible pilgrims, notification and company selection will run from Oct. 21 to Nov. 11.

For the second group, selection will take place from Nov. 16 to Nov. 22.

For the third group, selection will be conducted from Nov. 24 to Nov. 27.

The Ministry also announced that the Hajj Conference and Exhibition will be held from Oct. 22 to Oct. 24.

The deadline for submitting cancellation requests is Feb. 27, 2027, while the final date for air travel is May 12, 2027.
