Oman Records 2,957 Individual Labour Complaints in First Half of 2026

Oman Labour Ministry Highlights Dispute Settlement and Workers’ Rights Indicators

Muscat: Oman’s Ministry of Labour has highlighted a number of indicators reflecting efforts to strengthen labour dispute settlement, protect workers’ rights and promote stability in the labour market across the governorates.

During the first half of 2026, the Ministry recorded the following indicators:

8 newly registered trade unions.
2,957 individual labour complaints.
6,335 labour awareness activities.
2,908 collective labour complaints.
1,093 job opportunities provided through labour care operations.
106 collective bargaining cases.
5 strikes and labour gatherings.

The indicators reflect the Ministry’s continued efforts to strengthen labour relations, raise awareness of labour rights and responsibilities, address disputes and support employment opportunities through labour care initiatives.
