MERA announces Air Transport Route for Transporting Omani Pilgrims to the Holy Lands
Muscat: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, after coordinating with the relevant authorities, announces that it has adopted an air transport route for transporting pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman to the Holy Lands to perform the Hajj rituals during the 1448 AH Hajj season.
The Ministry has coordinated with the concerned authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the Civil Aviation Authority in Oman and the airlines, to complete the necessary arrangements and facilitate Hajj flights for pilgrims.
The Ministry has also informed the Hajj companies of this decision after seeking their views, as well as those of applicants for Hajj this year, and holding meetings with them to explain the approach and the reasons behind the decision.
