Muscat: Forbes Middle East announced it’s fifth annual “30 under 30”list which revealed the most accomplished Arab youth under 30 in various fields, and this year it registered 3 Omani, the highest representation on the list.
According to the announcement the list included 35 individuals from 13 nationalities based across 8 countries in the Middle East.
The list of Omanis under 30 includes – (Mohsin bin Hani Al-Bahrani , Muatasam Aulaqi and Selina Ved)
Mohsin bin Hani Al-Bahrani (Aged 25)
CEO of Mohsen Haider Darwish for Automotive, Construction Equipment and Renewable Energy (ACERE). He founded the company (MHD Leasing LLC), which targets the tourism sector, and (Auto Expert) company in the Sultanate of Oman. Al-Bahrani led the company to launch (McLaren Automotive), (ABB EV Chargers), (Varta Batteries), (XCMG) and (Weir Trio) in the Sultanate of Oman. Under his management, 13 new sales facilities were established, and after-sales services expanded from 3 facilities in 2019 to 11 facilities in 2022. He also opened 3 new outlets for TYREPLUS Outlets by Michelin, bringing the number to 9. He also oversees the newly launched Hospital Care Division (HospiCare) under the umbrella of MHD ACERE.
Muatasam Aulaqi – (Aged – 29)
Aulaqi is the co-founder of Oman-headquartered adventure travel company NomuHub launched in 2017, introducing the concept (Travel with a Purpose). The company offers tour packages that enable people to experience everything a tourist might want to see in a distination, plus take part in giving back activities, including building classrooms, farming, and community development through education and medical support. The company has arranged trips in Zanzibar, Morocco, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, India, Bali and Nepal, proving to be its more popular destination so far. According to data from the company, its trips so far have resulted in more than 20,000 people having access to medical care and approximately 10,000 children receiving education, with over 109 classrooms built or renovated.
Selina Ved (Age 24)
Ved launched the social e-commerce platform Nessa in 2021. Today, the platform includes 14,000 products from 250 brands, including 25 brands Exclusive to (Nessa) that allows its users to shop while watching videos of beauty experts and influencers, explaining how to use the products. The company uses artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to connect consumers with sellers. According to Fed, the company’s sales have grown by more than 300% over the past year. Ved also pledged to donate a percentage of the sales to female workers.
