The Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, is organising AVENIR 2026, a two-day Mega Career and Higher Education Expo, on 02 and 03 October 2026 at the Sur Ballroom, Hotel Muscat Holiday, Muscat. The event is being hosted by the Indian School Al Seeb and is aimed at providing students and parents with direct access to leading higher education institutions and comprehensive guidance on future academic and career pathways.
The Expo will be inaugurated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, 02 October 2026, by Dr. Maryam Al-Nabhani, Director-General of Private Universities and Colleges, Ministry of Education, Sultanate of Oman, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Mr. Syed Ahmad Salman, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, along with other Members of the Board of Directors, senior officials, educationists, school leaders, university representatives, students and parents.
More than 25 reputed universities and higher education institutions from Oman, India and the UAE are expected to participate in AVENIR 2026. The participating institutions will showcase a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, emerging disciplines, professional courses and career-oriented academic pathways.
The Expo will remain open to visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on both days, enabling students and parents to visit the exhibition at their convenience. AVENIR 2026 is particularly designed to bridge the gap between school education, higher education and future careers. Through direct interaction with representatives of reputed universities, students can explore emerging career fields and identify academic programmes aligned with their interests, aptitude and aspirations.
The Expo will provide a valuable platform for students of senior secondary classes, particularly those preparing to make important decisions regarding their higher education and career choices. Parents will also be able to engage with university representatives and gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities, academic pathways and requirements associated with different fields of study.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Syed Ahmad Salman, Chairman, the Board of Directors, Indian Schools Oman, emphasised the importance of providing students with appropriate information and exposure at a crucial stage of their academic journey. AVENIR 2026 is envisaged as a platform where aspiration meets opportunity, enabling students and parents to make informed choices about higher education and future careers.
With participation from universities across Oman, India and the UAE, the two-day Expo is expected to attract a large number of students and parents from the Indian Schools community and the wider community in Oman.
