Muscat: Jetour Oman, distributed exclusively in the Sultanate by MHD Automobiles, in collaboration with Nikon Oman exclusively distributed in the sultanate of Oman by Khimji Ramdas, has successfully concluded the first edition of the Backseat Creators Club—a user-generated content (UGC) campaign designed to empower young filmmakers across Oman. The initiative challenged creators to produce original short videos captured entirely from the backseat of the Jetour T1, showcasing real moments, true perspectives, and the authentic in-car experience.
Breaking away from traditional automotive campaigns that spotlight dashboards, exteriors, and performance imagery, the Backseat Creators Club shifted the creative focus to what passengers genuinely see and feel within the vehicle. Participants transformed the Jetour T1 into a moving creative studio, capturing journeys, emotions, and narrative elements framed through windows, interior angles, and the natural movement of the car.
To facilitate their creative process, Jetour Oman and Nikon Oman provided participants with the Jetour T1, Nikon Z5II cameras, and professional gimbal equipment—offering complete freedom to interpret and express the backseat storytelling theme in their own style. Final submissions were assessed based on creativity, authenticity, and the effectiveness of conveying the backseat perspective.
To honor the top creators, Jetour and Nikon hosted an award ceremony on 15th November at Cinepolis Oman Avenues Mall. The event featured brand presentations, product showcase videos, screenings of award-winning entries, behind-the-scenes footage, and interactive Q&A sessions with each finalist. Winners were presented with cash prizes, certificates of achievement, and exclusive branded merchandise in recognition of their skill and creative effort.
The campaign surpassed expectations with impressive digital results—garnering over 1.5 million views and more than 4 million impressions across social platforms. The overwhelming engagement achieved through UGC-driven storytelling marks a significant milestone, underscoring the strong connection between the brand and local audiences.
Speaking on the success of the campaign, Mr. Mohsin Hani Al Bahrani, CEO of MHD Automobiles, said:
“At MHD Automobiles, we believe in nurturing creative talent and embracing innovative forms of storytelling. The Backseat Creators Club reflects Jetour’ s forward-thinking spirit and its commitment to engaging with the youth of Oman. We are proud to see how these young creators brought the Jetour T1 to life through their unique perspectives. As the authorised dealer of Jetour in Oman, we will continue to support initiatives that inspire creativity and foster meaningful connections with our community.”
Jetour Oman and Nikon Oman extend their appreciation to all participants and look forward to expanding the Backseat Creators Club in future editions, further encouraging young talent and creative expression across the Sultanate
