    China’s Humanoid Robot Industry Expands Rapidly with 400 New Systems

    Beijing: China has developed more than 400 humanoid robot systems during the first half of 2026, accounting for more than half of all humanoid robot systems introduced worldwide during the period, reflecting the country’s growing leadership in the rapidly expanding robotics sector.

    According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chinese-made four-limb humanoid robot systems represented approximately 70 percent of global sales in the first six months of the year, highlighting the country’s dominant position in the international market.

    The ministry noted that the rapid growth of China’s robotics industry comes alongside continued expansion in the country’s artificial intelligence sector and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

    Official data also showed that China’s integrated circuit exports increased by 88 percent year-on-year during the first half of 2026, driven by strong global demand for artificial intelligence-related semiconductor chips.
