Delta Pharmacy Group celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2026 with the inauguration of its new branch at the Mustafa Sultan Building, Al Khuwair Street, in a prime location along Sultan Qaboos Highway, offering convenient access to the community.

The inauguration took place in the presence of senior management and staff of Delta Pharmacy Group and was officiated by Mr. Shabir Mustafa Sultan, Chairman of Mustafa Sultan Enterprises LLC, marking another milestone in the group’s continued expansion across the Sultanate.

This year’s World Pharmacist Day theme, “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures,” closely reflects Delta Pharmacy Group’s commitment to developing and empowering young Omani and expatriate pharmacists through continuous training, professional development and opportunities to deliver high-quality patient care.

Speaking on the occasion, the management highlighted the important role pharmacists play in healthcare, particularly in patient education, preventive healthcare and medication safety.

«“Pharmacists play an integral role in patient care. At Delta, we are committed to providing professional guidance and counselling through our experienced team, while continuously investing in the training and empowerment of pharmacists to build healthier communities.”»

The senior management also emphasised the importance of adopting preventive health measures and making quality healthcare solutions accessible and affordable to the people of Oman. The management highlighted the importance of patients adhering to their prescribed chronic medications and avoiding interruptions in treatment without consulting their healthcare professionals.

The management further acknowledged the significant role played by the Drug Safety Centre under the Ministry of Health, Oman, in maintaining high standards of medicine quality, safety and availability through its regulatory oversight and continuous efforts. These measures help ensure that medicines available in the Omani market meet the required quality standards and that essential medications remain accessible to the community at affordable prices.

As part of its continued efforts to support the management of lifestyle-related diseases, Delta Pharmacy Group also highlighted its recently launched high-quality Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) solution, designed to make advanced glucose monitoring more accessible and affordable. The technology supports ongoing glucose monitoring and can help individuals and healthcare professionals make informed decisions in managing diabetes.

To mark the opening of the new branch, customers can also enjoy exclusive promotional offers on selected cosmetic brands, adding to the range of healthcare and wellness services available at the location.

With its expanding retail network and continued focus on professional pharmacy services, preventive healthcare, innovation and affordability, Delta Pharmacy Group remains committed to strengthening community healthcare and contributing to a healthier Oman.

Management representatives Ahmed Saeed Abdullah Al Waheebi, Munsir M.K., Jamsheed N.K., and Nafi Thazheveleri attended the function.
