Dr. Marwan Al Juma Elected President of Arab Hockey Federation

Oman Elected to Lead Arab Hockey Federation for 2026–2030

Muscat: The General Assembly of the Arab Hockey Federation, meeting in Muscat today, elected Dr. Marwan bin Juma Al Juma, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Hockey Association, as President of the Arab Hockey Federation for the 2026–2030 electoral term.

The General Assembly was attended by representatives from Oman, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Algeria, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan and Morocco.

At the opening of the meeting, Tayyab Ikram, President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), highlighted the Sultanate of Oman’s growing role in the development of hockey regionally and across Asia, commending its successful hosting of major continental and international tournaments.

During the meeting, members approved the minutes of the Executive Committee’s first meeting for 2026, reviewed the financial report and final accounts for the previous period, and discussed proposals submitted by the Executive Committee and member associations. The General Assembly also approved the federation’s work plan for the upcoming term.

The General Assembly elected the federation’s president and Executive Committee members, ratified the appointment of non-elected Executive Committee members in accordance with the federation’s statutes, and approved the appointment of the Secretary-General and Treasurer.

Eng. Mohammed Al Mandeel, President of the Saudi Hockey Federation, was elected First Vice-President, while Tamer Hosny of Egypt was elected Second Vice-President. Madin bin Ahmed Bait Habza was appointed Secretary-General and Majid Al Houti Assistant Secretary-General, followed by the election of the remaining Executive Committee members.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the General Assembly approved the admission of Bahrain and Iraq as new members of the Arab Hockey Federation.
