Muscat  (ONA): His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued two Royal decrees, reading as follows:

Royal Decree No. (87/2026) on the ratification of the Amendment to the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Article (1) ratifies the amendment to the first paragraph of Article (8) of the Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, promulgated by Royal Decree No. (44/2015) on ratifying the Amended Charter of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in accordance with the formula set forth in the attached Council of Foreign Ministers’ decision No. 3/44-AT on the Frequency of Convening the Islamic Summit.

Article (2) instructs the competent authorities to deposit the document of ratification of amendment to the aforementioned Charter in accordance with its provisions. Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No. (88/2026) on the ratification of the agreement between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Republic of Rwanda on mutual visa waiver for holders of diplomatic, private and service passports, signed in Salalah on 8 September 2026.

Article (1) ratifies the aforementioned agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree. Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
