Jalen Brunson Leads Knicks Past Philadelphia in NBA Playoffs

Washington:  Jalen Brunson scored 33 points to lead the New York Knicks to a 108-94 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference semifinals of the NBA playoffs.

Mikal Bridges added 23 points, while Landry Shamet contributed 15 points as the Knicks secured their third win in the best-of-seven series.

The Knicks will seek to clinch qualification to the Eastern Conference Finals when they face Philadelphia in Game 4 on Sunday.

Kelly Oubre Jr. led the 76ers with 22 points, while Tyrese Maxey added 17 points. Joel Embiid returned to the starting lineup after missing Game 2 through injury and scored 18 points with three blocks.

In another playoff game, Victor Wembanyama scored 39 points, collected 15 rebounds and blocked five shots to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 115-108 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals.

Wembanyama converted 13 of 18 field-goal attempts, including three three-pointers, helping the Spurs take a 2-1 lead in the series.

De’Aaron Fox added 17 points, while Stephon Castle recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 assists.

Anthony Edwards scored 32 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Minnesota, while Naz Reid contributed 18 points and nine rebounds from the bench.
