London: Manchester United secured a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in matchweek 33 of the English Premier League (EPL), strengthening their position in the race for third place.
Matheus Cunha scored the decisive goal in the 43rd minute, converting a composed finish to hand United all three points.
With this result, Manchester United raised their tally to 58 points in third place, moving three points ahead of their closest rivals, while Chelsea remain sixth with 48 points.
In other fixtures, Leeds United defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-0, Bournemouth overcame Newcastle United 2-1, Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion, and Brentford and Fulham settled for a 0-0 draw.
