Muscat: In recognition of ahlibank’s commitment to creating meaningful social impact and advancing inclusive community development, the bank has been awarded with the ‘Leadership in CSR in Banking’ award at the SHABIBA JAWA’IZ BASMA (Social Impact) Awards 2026. The recognition reflects ahlibank’s sustained efforts to empower vulnerable segments, enhance quality of life and support initiatives that advance socio-economic wellbeing and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable society across the Sultanate of Oman. The award was received on behalf of the bank by Jumana Aflah Al Hashmi, AGM – Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at ahlibank.
Commenting on the occasion, Jumana Al Hashmi stated, “This recognition is a powerful affirmation of ahlibank’s commitment to embedding our core value of Responsibility across everything we do. Through our ahliCares team, we have taken a more focused and purposeful approach to social investment, aligning our CSR initiatives with the needs of the communities we serve and the broader priorities of Oman’s development journey. Over the past year, we have strengthened partnerships with organizations that share our vision and expanded the reach of our initiatives across the Sultanate, enabling us to support a wider range of causes and beneficiaries. As we look ahead, we remain committed to building partnerships that deliver tangible, sustainable outcomes and reinforce our role in contributing to the wellbeing and progress of the communities we serve.”
This recognition builds on ahlibank’s continued efforts to advance a focused and impactful social responsibility agenda across key areas including community welfare, education, healthcare and SME development. Through its CSR initiatives, the bank continues to translate its commitment into practical support for individuals and families nationwide. During Ramadan, ahlibank partnered with a range of organizations to support vulnerable groups, providing essential food supplies to families in need, home appliances to widows and divorced mothers, home healthcare solutions for senior citizens, and medical equipment and supplies for low-income families. The bank also recently expanded the impact of its Back-to-School initiative, in partnership with Al Rahma Association for Motherhood and Childhood, reaching more than 5,000 students across Oman with school essentials ahead of the new academic year. More recently, ahlibank partnered with the Sanubader Patient Services team to create a memorable wish-fulfilment experience for 30 young patients, bringing them together for an uplifting gathering while providing personal devices and iPads to support their daily lives and enable remote learning during their treatment journeys.
Together, these initiatives reflect ahlibank’s resolute commitment to extending its ‘Partner in Excellence’ promise beyond banking and into the wider communities it serves. As a responsible corporate citizen, the bank remains focused on creating meaningful pathways to opportunity, strengthening inclusion and bolstering those who are most in need. By aligning its social responsibility efforts with genuine community needs, ahlibank continues to translate purpose into action, delivering practical support, creating tangible impact and contributing to a more empowered society.
The receipt of this award underscores ahlibank’s evolving role in leveraging its reach, resources and partnerships to spearhead initiatives that respond to pressing needs while contributing to the national objectives outlined in Oman Vision 2040. The accolade further reinforces the power of sustained corporate engagement in creating positive change, while reaffirming ahlibank’s pledge to making a meaningful difference and bringing hope to individuals and communities across Oman.
