Following a successful two-year tenure at Alila Hinu Bay, Ozdemir expands his remit to lead Alila’s two distinctive Oman resorts – from Dhofar’s Arabian Sea coastline to the heights of Jabal Akhdar.
Nebi Ozan Ozdemir will lead Alila’s two Oman resorts as Cluster General Manager.
Oman: Alila Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Nebi Ozan Ozdemir as Cluster General Manager of Alila Hinu Bay and Alila Jabal Akhdar, part of Hyatt’s luxury portfolio, bringing the brand’s two Oman resorts under a unified leadership vision.
Following a successful tenure as General Manager of Alila Hinu Bay, Ozdemir will continue to lead the beachfront resort in Southern Dhofar while extending his leadership to Alila Jabal Akhdar, Alila’s acclaimed mountain sanctuary in the Al Hajar range and a Condé Nast Traveller Triple Crown Award winner. His expanded role marks an important step in strengthening Alila’s presence in the Sultanate and creating a more connected Oman portfolio defined by thoughtful luxury, crafted experiences and a deep sense of place.
Over the past two years at Alila Hinu Bay, Ozdemir has focused on elevating the resort’s positioning as a destination-led retreat, with emphasis on personalized service, distinctive dining, wellness, curated Alila Moments and meaningful connections to the culture, landscapes and communities of Dhofar. This next chapter will see him bring the same purposeful approach to Alila Jabal Akhdar, where stunning mountain scenery, Omani heritage, adventure, wellness and design combine to create one of the region’s most memorable luxury experiences.
Ozdemir’s expanded remit unites two contrasting expressions of Oman: Alila Hinu Bay, set between the Arabian Sea and the Dhofar Mountains, and Alila Jabal Akhdar, perched high in the Al Hajar Mountains. From coast to mountain, he will oversee strategy, guest experience, commercial performance, brand positioning, operations and talent development across both properties, with a focus on delivering the Alila promise of journeys that are unexpected, profound and deeply rooted in destination.
| “Oman is a destination of extraordinary contrast and depth – from the calm shores of Hinu Bay to the dramatic heights of Jabal Akhdar,” said Nebi Ozan Ozdemir. “It is a privilege to lead these two remarkable Alila resorts and to work with our teams to create journeys that feel personal, authentic and deeply connected to place. My focus will be on strengthening our guest experiences, empowering our colleagues and further positioning Alila in Oman as a benchmark for thoughtful, destination-led luxury.” |
Ozdemir brings extensive experience in luxury hospitality, multi-property leadership and food and beverage excellence. Most recently, he served as multi-property Manager for Absheron Hotel Group in Azerbaijan, following his role as General Manager of Six Senses Kocatas Mansions in Istanbul. His MENA experience includes senior positions at Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and W Doha. As Cluster General Manager, he will lead Alila Hinu Bay and Alila Jabal Akhdar as complementary gateways to Oman, united by design, nature, wellness, dining and meaningful connections to place.
