Oman and Philippines Hold Talks Session

Manila:  The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of the Philippines today held the 5th session of political talks in Manila.

The session was headed by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs and Maria-Theresa Lazaro, Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations in the fields of politics, economy, trade, investment, education and information technology.

They also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual concern. Meanwhile, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs also met with Enrique Manalo, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.

During this meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The talks session was attended by Nasser Said Abdullah Almanwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of the Philippines, Raul Hernandez, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials from both sides.
