    • Oman announces remote work for some employees due to unstable weather

    Muscat: The National Committee for Emergency Management issues a statement regarding the suspension of work for employees in units of the state’s administrative apparatus, and for workers in private sector establishments

    In view of the exceptional weather situation taking place in the Sultanate of Oman, and in light of the recommendations of the National Centre for Early Warning of Multiple Hazards, and based on the public interest, it has been decided to:

    implement remote work for employees of the units of the State’s civil administrative apparatus and other legal persons, as well as for workers in private sector establishments in the governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, North Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

    Remote work can be applied if in-person attendance is not possible for the rest of the governorates, provided that precautions and occupational health and safety requirements are observed.
