    • Oman National Hockey Team Heads to Japan Ahead of Aichi-Nagoya 2026

    Muscat: The Oman National Hockey Team will travel to Japan today, to participate in the 20th Asian Games – Aichi-Nagoya 2026, which will be held from 19 September to 4 October 2026.

    The team has been continuing its preparation programme in readiness for the upcoming continental competition.

    The national team will continue its training programme from 5 to 14 September in Kakamigahara City, focusing on enhancing the players’ technical and physical readiness, strengthening team cohesion, and implementing the tactical strategies and game plans that will be utilised during the Asian Games.

    The next phase of preparation in Japan will include a series of friendly matches against the Japanese national team. These matches will provide an important opportunity to assess the players’ readiness, test the team’s technical and tactical performance, and enable the coaching staff to make necessary adjustments ahead of the official competition.

    The national team’s technical and administrative staff consists of:

    The team’s departure for Japan marks the final stage of its preparation programme.     Oman’s participation in Aichi-Nagoya 2026 represents another important milestone in the development of the national team and an opportunity to further strengthen Oman’s presence on the Asian hockey stage.
