Oman Participates in ARABOSAI General Assembly and Executive Council Meetings in Jeddah

Oman Attends 15th ARABOSAI General Assembly, 69th and 70th Executive Council Meetings

Jeddah: The Sultanate of Oman today participated in the meetings of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The events comprised the 15th session of the ARABOSAI General Assembly, as well as the 69th and 70th meetings of the Organization’s Executive Council.

The Omani delegation was headed by Sheikh Ghosn bin Hilal Al Alawi, Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority.

During the 69th and 70th Executive Council meetings, members reviewed the reports of working panels focused on institutional capacity building, professional and oversight standards, monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and information technology. They also endorsed the final account for 2024 and approved the financial programme for 2026–2028.

The 15th session of the General Assembly discussed the Executive Council’s report on measures undertaken to implement the work programme approved during the previous General Assembly session. The meeting also reviewed the Executive Council Chairman’s report on the Organization’s financial status and approved the audited financial statements for the preceding period, alongside other items on the agenda.
