    • Oman Youth Tennis Team Concludes Training Camp in Cairo

    Cairo: The Omani national youth tennis team has concluded an external training camp in Cairo, Egypt, held at Smash Academy as part of the Oman Tennis Association’s programme to develop national team players and prepare them for upcoming international competitions.

    The camp focused on players representing Oman’s Under-10, Under-14 and Under-16 national teams, with the participation of 13 male and female players.

    Held for the second consecutive year, the training camp aimed to enhance the players’ technical and competitive capabilities and prepare them for upcoming external tournaments.

    Ahmed Al Balushi, head of the delegation, said that the camp achieved its technical objectives, contributing to improving the players’ performance levels while also providing them with mental preparation and nutrition lectures.

    He added that the players participated in a number of friendly matches against players from Smash Academy and other academies, gaining valuable competitive experience alongside intensive training sessions supervised by specialized coaches.

    Al Balushi expressed hope that the programme would contribute to achieving positive results for Oman’s national team players in upcoming external competitions and help them gain additional international ranking points.
