Oman’s Foreign Minister meets President of the International Peace Institute

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs held a meeting with Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, President of the International Peace Institute, on the sidelines of the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) in New York.

The meeting discussed a number of global issues, such as climate change and efforts to underscore the strategic importance of achieving permanent peace in the Middle East, in addition to restoring the Palestinian people’s right to establishing their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The meeting was attended by  Dr. Mohammed bin Awad Al Hassan, the Sultanate of Oman’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN).

In a tweet foreign minister said: “Good discussion in New York today with Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, President of the International Peace Institute. We shared views on climate change and the urgent need to address the Palestinian issue.”
