Oman’s GDP Reaches RO9.9 Billion After 5.1% Growth in Q2

Muscat:  The Sultanate of Oman’s gross domestic product (GDP) at constant prices grew by 5.1 percent during the second quarter of 2026, reaching about RO9.9 billion, compared with approximately RO9.4 billion in the same quarter of 2025.

Preliminary data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that oil activities grew by 14.7 percent during Q2 2026, reaching about RO3.4 billion, compared with RO3 billion in the corresponding quarter of 2025.

Meanwhile, non-oil activities increased by 0.7 percent to approximately RO7 billion, compared with RO6.8 billion in Q2 2025.

Agricultural and fishing activities grew by 2.3 percent, reaching RO325 million, compared with RO317.8 million in the same quarter of 2025.

Industrial activities, however, declined by 1.5 percent to about RO1.9 billion, compared with approximately RO2 billion a year earlier.

Service activities recorded a 1.5 percent growth, reaching about RO4.6 billion, compared with approximately RO4.5 billion in Q2 2025.
