Trump proposes permanently displacing Palestinians from Gaza as he meets Netanyahu

US President Donald Trump proposed the permanent resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries, saying people there had no alternative but to leave the Palestinian enclave and calling the enclave a “demolition site” as he met with Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

“I feel very differently about Gaza than a lot of people. I think they should get a good, fresh, beautiful piece of land, and we get some people to put up the money to build it and make it nice and make it habitable and “enjoyable,” Trump told reporters.

“I don’t know how they (Palestinians) could want to stay,” Trump said when asked about his reactions by Palestinian and Arab leaders to his proposal. “They are not going to want to go back to Gaza,” Trump later said about his proposal.
