    ‘No Other Land’, the Palestinian-Israeli documentary, won Best Documentary Feature at the 97th Academy Awards. As directors Basel Adra, Yuval Abraham, Rachel Szor, and Hamdan Ballal took the stage to accept the honor, their powerful acceptance speech quickly made headlines.

    The filmmakers used the moment to address the ongoing Israeli-Gaza war, calling for a “political solution” to the crisis.

    Basel Adra, a Palestinian journalist and activist, urged for “serious actions” to end “the injustice and ethnic cleansing of Palestinian people.” He added, “About two months ago, I became a father, and I hope my daughter will not have to live the same life I am living now. No Other Land reflects the harsh reality we have endured for decades—and still resist.”
