    • Yan Diomandé Reports to RB Leipzig as Real Madrid Move Nears

    Leipzig:  Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé joined RB Leipzig’s pre-season training today alongside the club’s returning international players as preparations began for the 2026/2027 campaign.

    The 19-year-old underwent routine medical examinations and fitness assessments with teammates, including German international David Raum, despite growing reports linking him with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

    According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano and Germany’s DPA news agency, Diomandé is close to completing a transfer to Real Madrid. However, RB Leipzig has yet to announce the deal officially, with negotiations still ongoing over the remaining details.

    Media reports indicate that the proposed transfer is valued at more than €100 million, with the player expected to sign a contract running until 2031, although neither club has confirmed the agreement.

    RB Leipzig had previously sought to retain the player for at least one more season after reportedly rejecting offers worth €100 million from both Liverpool and Real Madrid during the FIFA World Cup.

    Reports added that the German club could reconsider its position should it receive an offer of at least €120 million, having signed Diomandé from Spanish side Leganés last year for €20 million.
