Singapore, 23 Feb 2026 (ONA) — Gold rose to a three-week high today amid heightened market uncertainty following a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States to strike down a broad range of tariffs imposed by former President Donald Trump.

Spot gold climbed 1.2 percent to USD 5,163.60 per ounce, marking its highest level in three weeks.

US gold futures for April delivery advanced 2 percent to USD 5,184.90 per ounce.

Among other precious metals, spot silver surged 3.1 percent to USD 87.10 per ounce — its highest level in more than two weeks.

Spot platinum edged up 1.2 percent to USD 2,182.60 per ounce, while palladium slipped 0.5 percent to USD 1,753.75 per ounce.

The gains reflect increased investor demand for safe-haven assets amid policy uncertainty and volatility in global trade expectations.
