Singapore: Gold prices declined today amid a stronger US dollar and reduced expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate cut, alongside rising oil prices and stronger-than-expected US jobs data.
Spot gold fell by 0.9 percent to $4,631.69 per ounce, while US gold futures for April delivery dropped by 0.5 percent to $4,657.50, with trading activity remaining limited due to holidays in several markets across Asia and Europe.
Other precious metals also recorded declines, with spot silver falling by 1.4 percent to $71.98 per ounce and platinum dropping by 0.9 percent to $1,970.38.
Palladium remained stable at $1,503.52 per ounce.
