Singapore:  Oil prices rose above $100 per barrel today amid escalating tensions after talks between the United States and Iran ended without an agreement.

Brent crude futures increased by $7.11, or 7.47 percent, to reach $102.31 per barrel, following a decline of 0.75 percent in the previous session.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose by $7.86, or 8.14 percent, to settle at $104.43 per barrel, after falling 1.33 percent on Friday.

The increase comes amid concerns over potential disruptions to oil supplies in the Strait of Hormuz.
