Singapore: The US dollar declined against most major currencies today following indications from the United States that it may be nearing an agreement with Iran.
The euro rose to $1.1714, while the British pound reached $1.35685, both gaining around 0.2 percent during the day.
The Australian dollar increased by nearly 0.4 percent to $0.7208 in early trading, and the New Zealand dollar advanced by 0.3 percent to $0.5905.
The dollar index edged down by 0.01 percent to 98.299.
Against the Japanese yen, the US dollar traded at 157.62 yen, down by 0.17 percent from late US trading levels.
