Syria Increases Entry Visa Fees for Several Nationalities

Muscat: The Syrian Ministry of Interior has issued a directive raising entry visa fees for citizens of several countries.

According to the document from the Syrian Interim Government, the visa fee for Iraqi citizens has increased from $50 to $250. This visa permits a one-time, non-renewable stay of three months in Syria.

The ministry has also revised fees for Egyptian and Omani citizens, setting the new charge at $150 for a one-time, three-month stay.

For Kuwaiti, Saudi, Qatari, and Turkish citizens, the fee has been adjusted to $150. However, this visa allows multiple entries, with a maximum stay of three months per entry.

Additionally, the ministry confirmed that citizens of Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, and Mauritania are exempt from visa requirements and may stay in Syria for up to six months without a visa.
