Rome: The fifth round of talks between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America will begin later today in Rome. Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi leaves Tehran to Rome, Italy’s capital, to join the fifth round of indirect talks with the U.S. President’s special envoy. Oman is mediating the discussions.
The official IRNA news agency reported that “the negotiations are scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM (11:00 GMT) in Rome,” noting that the Iranian delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, left Tehran for Italy.
The fourth round, held in Muscat on May 11, featured valuable and original ideas that reflected the shared desire of both Iran and the United States to reach an honorable agreement.
