Global Oil Prices Decline Sharply in Latest Trading Session
Singapore: Oil prices fell by about 6 percent today, reaching their lowest levels in two weeks.
Brent crude futures declined by USD 5.85, or 5.7 percent, to USD 97.69 per barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures also dropped by USD 5.75, or 6 percent, to USD 90.85 per barrel.
Both benchmark contracts touched their lowest levels since 7 May during trading sessions today.
Oil prices had already recorded declines of more than 4 percent in early trading.
