Singapore: The US dollar fell to its lowest level in a week during Asian trading today.
The dollar index, which measures the performance of the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, declined by 0.1 percent to 98.95, its weakest level since 18 May.
The dollar also weakened against the Japanese yen, falling by 0.2 percent to 158.9 yen.
Meanwhile, the euro rose by 0.3 percent to USD 1.1636, while the British pound gained 0.3 percent to USD 1.3476.
The Australian dollar climbed by 0.5 percent to USD 0.7162, and the New Zealand dollar advanced by 0.4 percent to USD 0.5869.
